England Colleges, Universities, and Technical Schools
Colleges and Universities in England

The United Kingdom is opening its doors and its heart to students from around the world. According to recent figures, there are over 800,000 foreign students currently studying in the United Kingdom. New laws have made it possible for foreign students to work up to 20 hours a week while attending school and full- time during vacations and semester breaks. If your course runs for more than a year, your dependants are also given permission to work while you are in school. The government has also made the visa process simpler and faster as part of the new policy of openness to foreign students.

If you decide to study in the U.K., you will find yourself surrounded by ancient castles, landscapes that look like they came from the fairytales of your youth and traditional ceremonies that come from the pages of history. You'll also be in the land that has given the world some of its hottest modern music and fashion trends on the cutting edge. It's the land of Shakespeare and also the land of the Rolling Stones. You may spend your vacations in the magical countryside of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, or the English Cotswold region.

You'll study the English language in the place where it was born, and study history in some of the places where it all took place. Another advantage of studying in the U.K. is the level of analytical thinking that is part of the education system there. Employers know that candidates who have received their degree in Great Britain are often better problem solvers than their counterparts from other educational systems.
